EAX, Vista & Onboard Realtek?

I know that EAX under Vista doesn't work unless the game supports OpenAL or you use ALchemy with a Creative sound card, but what about Realtek's onboard audio, which supports EAX 2?

Does it still work? Do they have a workaround if it doesn't?

EAX does not work on Vista at all....ALchemy just converts the EAX to OpanAL so you do not loose surround sound and effects on games in vista, but as far as i know its only for creative users

I know what Alchemy does, I was more curious about what Realtek was up to. Thanks for the fast reply though

i do not think realtek is up to there own Alchemy clone.

Being as its a software(creative does say there is a hardware part, but i think thats just the hardware accelerated openAL) i could see real potential to ANY card running all the old eax games in all there glory...
