I heard people asking question on several boards and how to apply TIM to their HDT-S1283. It's kind of apparent that there isn't a solid consensus. I applied some MX-2 to mine and put it on a Q9550. The temperatures are beautiful.

Take a look at the last application method on this page. Applying two streaks between the copper pipes works perfectly. I made my streaks slightly longer:

take a look at lupiron's guide WITH PICTURES. used that on my S963 worked.. perfectly i guess didn't lift it up to see how it spread tbh
