Hi, i was considering buying the Q9450 (or Q9300 for that matter) but seeing as OEM will be all there is perhaps for the next couple of weeks , i might be tempted to buy an oem version of either (need to buy soon)

seeing as this is the first pc i built, and i've never dealed with an oem processor, i would need to buy an oem heatsink/fan too, thing is, i dont want to spend a lot, i just want a decent heatsink (hopefully the intel one if its available somewhere to buy) that would give me the same performance the retail one would give me.

i tried looking at the intel site but couldnt find what kind of heatsink comes with those 2, anyone knows whats the code for retail heatsink/fan or where could i buy them?

anyone knows an alternative that would work?

all i found was that the Q9000 series seemed to be different at least in size from the Q66000 fan/heatsink for example

just to make sure i dont need to buy anything else, do i (i mean to make this work same as retail version, i know i need a couple extra parts to build the pc :) )?

thanks so much for the quick response

You sure that would work with the Q9450? and with a   GIGABYTE GA-EX38-DS4  (sorry this is my first as i said and dont want to end up ordering something that wouldnt work right), would it keep just as cool as the retail would or better i imagine?

would that work better than the Cooler master HyperTX 2 ?
