The more I read the more I don't trust any of them. The best thing to do is to go with the calibration thingy that Computronix wrote at the top of the overclocking forum. That will get you close... However, Tjunction or core temperature is something Intel likes to be secretive about, so no one really knows what it is from what I understand. That means all programs will be incorrect.

I'm going to hire a midget to sit there with a finger on my heat sink. Seems the most acurate way to go to me.

i also forgot to add that is load temps under prime95.

so if thats good temps whats the highest i can go without damaging my system?

I'd keep it under 85C, although most people will say keep it under 60C. It will start throttling at around 90-93C and will shut down at 95C. If you manage to fry the chip from heat, you had a bad chip to start with. On the other hand, if you fry it with voltage, you used too much.

I thought the thermal threshold is usually 65-75C, depending on chips, and it throttle down to 6x at once. Care to clarify? :p
