is ddr2 1066 mobo backwards compatible?

if you buy a mobo with ddr2 1066 support, can i put ddr2 800 in it and have it work without problems, errors?

If I buy it, i'm not letting you touch it! Ha. As far as your question goes, for the most part yeah. If a motherboard supports ddr2 at 1066, it will run anything lower of the same kind of ram (ddr2). This is assuming your motherboard supports that brand of ram. Some ram sticks are not compatible with some motherboards. Check the motherboards documentation. Peace.

depends on the mobo i think i am running a 1066 with ddr2 800
