More Information

Hey guys, I put in 4x1gb Crucial ballistix tracer memory into my new build:

e8400
Gigabyte ds3l
Zalman 9500 cooler
640gb WD HDD
8800GT
520hx Corsair PSU

I had 9 errors in memtest after an overnight run so I ordered replacements for the memory in case that was the problem.

I ran a 2 pairs of sticks separately for one pass in memtest with no errors and I'm planning to run all 4 in there at once overnight to make sure all is well.

I just read about the CTRL+F1 thing in BIOS and was finally able to see my timings.

According to Newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6820148076

my timings should be 4-4-4-12 with 2.2V.

These are shown in my BIOS:
Cas Latency: 5
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay: 5
DRAM RAS# Precharge: 5
Precharge Delay (tRAS): 18

and I can't find the current voltage anywhere.

What shoudl I do? Can this have caused my initial errors?

On a side note, after running memtest for a few hours today, I turned off my PC to replace the ram and when I went into BIOS, my CPU temp was showing 33C. Isn't that a bit high for an e8400 not overclocked with a Zalman 9500 and MX-2 thermal paste? I would expect it to be around 25 C? My sister's PC that I just built with the same CPU and board but stock cooler is around 28 C when it's booted to BIOS (and hasn't run too long before)

Thanks in advance for the help!!
