Nahalem and new socket comes at end of the year, if Intel don't delay it like their Yorkfield quads. Ram is in the slow transition from ddr2 to ddr3, it'll take a while. Not sure if hd4000s cards from ATI will be out by August.
New CPU is just Intel Q9550 / Q9450 and no new socket type on August 2008, new socket type CPU "Nahalem" in forecase is minimum end of this year but I guess the actual time frame would depends on the market share of AMD's new CPU. For Graphic card, Nvidia 9900GTX or ATI HD48XX series will be available before August 2008 so you will be available to select the best one for you. RAM standard is remain the same either DDR-2 for value or DDR-3 for better performance.
