Hello all, Ive been a long time reader here and ive finally saved up enough money to buy myself a new rig, this is what i have listed for the specs i plan on ordering within the week and would like to have some advice on it so here i go

Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-EX38-DS4 LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard

now the only reason im going w/ this mobo it has a good amount of usb ports but also only because its pcei 2.0 making it more future proof, now im kinda confused if i really need such a mobo or could i just use lets say a p35 board like this one

Cpu - wolfdale e8400 ( im more then definatly sure this is the type of cpu i will be ordering)

Im not too sure what kind of cd/dvd burner to get saw this one at a good price so decided to go with it

I plan on using this new system for gaming I bought a new LCD 20'' from dell plan on playing crysis/Aoc , I also plan to O/c that 8400 so a good cpu cooler recommendation would be nice to hear, Id like to know weather this will be suitable for my needs

tis old, isn't it??? try the CNPS 9700LED. though my AC freezer 7 does the job pretty nicely ^^

um yea...that e8400 is a dual core >.>, and any recommendation on which mobo i should go with, aswell with any critism on the build >.>
