This is a question only another Australian, still living in Oz, can answer with any certainty. Prices across borders vary so widely, any opinions from other countries are totally useless to you. Hopefully there's another digger around here somewhere. :D

G'Day Spawney,
Beautiful wet Australia Day public holiday here so I'm hitting up the interwebs for interest.
In reply to your question with this system I would look at a few tweaks personally... (all mention of pricing is in AUS DOLLARS to make it helpful).
First and foremost why take a mid-top level system like this i7 with a dedicated graphics card (GT 610 2gig) worth approx. $68.00 AUS??

Quite a low end choice considering as an 'upgrade' this would be even more affordable on an i5 with similar specs.

If your wanting real bang out of an i7 PC system then pull back in a few key areas and boast it in others.

*idea: exchange the 2gig graphics for a higher output 1gig, add in a Solid State HD (as an upgrade) to support the existing HD? Something like this?

In essence yes this is cheap for what your getting.... but do you really want a Ford Mustang with bike tyres??
