I have found for these, once you install their official monitor driver the 75Hz will show up instead of only 60Hz. My Dell monitor can do 75Hz, but since I switch to 64-bit Windows, the driver will not work anymore. 60Hz is not bad though. On CRT monitors it was kind of bad, but it is pretty normal for LCD's.

Not really. A crt would be better for it. If you use vertical sync in gaming, providing your card is good enough, then 75Hz would be better than say 60Hz, other than that, for a LCD, I dont see how a higher Hz rate would be beneficial

On CRT's it was worse than bad, it was painful to run at 60HZ (50HZ in much of the world) because overhead lighting would cause a 'flicker' effect. Gave me serious eyestrain, headaches after a few hours.

LCD's don't 'scan' in this fashion, so the refresh rate is not as important as it was in CRT's. I was doubtful about this until I used a few LCD's, but there is no noticeable effect even under flourescent lighting conditions.

to hell with refresh rate, not needed with lcd's for the most part, just worry about actual response times, come to think of it, when was the last time toms did one of their very good lcd reviews the kind where they show actual response times and other things like how uniform brightness is.

it's been a while and i can't recall that much other sites taking the time to do such thorough analysis.
