I've been itching, for a long time now, to work on a custom stealth case mod. The biggest question I have, and no number of websites seems to explain, is how to produce custom case pieces at home. For example. If I wanted to install parts into any open box (gutted VCR, bread box, cereal box whatever) I'd need to create a custom case/cage for the components to be attached to. So how do I go about creating that custom piece?
I've seen lots of examples of people using plastic. But how to you fashion those pieces? Is it just a sheet of plastic cut and glued into the correct configuration? And for custom pieces that need more than right angles, whats the best way to create those?
If anyone could post a short how-to or even link me in the right direction that'd be fantastic. Thanks!
You probably would need a machine shop or tools for creating those kind of custom metal pieces . Working with plastic is kind of easy, because you can bend them to an awesome level with the help of a heating coil or cut it with a power saw in to any shape pretty easily.

Thanks for responding guys. I have some follow up questions though.
retro77 - do you know what sort of plastic people use? and where do you purchase said plastic? I would imagine home depot (or the like) would carry sheet plastic. I've worked a bit with some plastics and find that they're really fragile and easy to crack. Are certain plastics better than others?
Shadow703793- Yeah, I've read lots about the ability to bend plastic but I've never actually seen it being done or read instructions on how to. I've seen a few insctructables on how to make a vacuum form but that's not what I'd be needed. And again, are certain plastics able to be heated and bend? Are the tools/plastics available at hobby shops or such?
