Ok.. I need to know if it is possible to have the main display set at 1280x1024 and a TV as second display, in mirrored mode, and a video or movie being played at full screen in the tv while being able to use the computer on the main display, without the resolution going back to 1024x768 on the main display. And that, in Vista.

I can do that in xp, with my ATI video card.. using the computer normally while playing a movie in the TV for the little one or the girlfriend.

In Vista, cloned mode put my main display to 1024x768 to match the TV (while in XP, the screen was still set at 1280x1024 on both display, but the tv image was scrooling to allow to use the whole screen (obviously, 1280x1024 cannot fit on a 1024x768 display)

if I can do that with a nvidia video card, I will switch to nvidia, but if the behaviour is the same, I may switch to XP.

thanks
