I had finally figured out how to connect my WNR3300 master to a WNR3500 Repeater/bridge. After connecting I managed to get my internet working. However, after toying around with it a bit, the internet suddenly slowed down. After trying to toy around with it a bit and change channels, I realized that the WNR3300 master unit wasn't able to be connected to, even through a system directly connected through by wires. I had to detach both routers and then replug in the WNR3300 in in order to be able to use it again.
Now I have a laptop that I use the wireless with. I have placed it in the room where the 2nd router is. The signal on the laptop is low strength though it still functions fine just with a bit slower speed. In those terms I don't think there is a problem with the channel I use for wireless. The issues with connection only exist when the other router is connected as a repeater. Each time the master router has issues being connected to at all for changing settings.
Any clue what could be causing the connection to faulter with the internet and could keep the master router from being able to be connected to?
a cross-over cable will allow like devices to communicate (in your case a router to a router). Confused why you had any connection to start off with then get slower? repeater fuction might be config wrong, try just using dhcp for both. Good Luck.
