I have a SEAGATE SATA II 500GB Hdd brick with the dreaded firmware bug.

I bought a new drive and swapped the boards.

I flashed the new board

I swapped them back

IT IS BEING RECOGNISED BUT AS 0 is ZERO MB !

WHERE IS MY DATA ?

please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try looking for a seagate hd tool that can let you "set max adress"
Samsung has such a program that helped me with a similar problem to yours just recently, it was a 1 tb hdd showing as 8 gb
