Need to Clone Hard Drive
- System:
- Rack mounted Pentium 90, operating system Windows 3.11 (Laughing, snickering, and utter disbelief allowed)
- SCSI AHA-2940 controller
- 2 gig Quantum XP32150 HDD
System was last powered on 2002, was placed in a non-environmentally controlled conex. I pulled it out 1 week ago.
First got error beeps, removed SCSI card, was able to boot to dos (Floppy). Reinserted SCSI card and FINALLY got system to boot (HDD holder is so rusted). Need to back-up (Clone) the HDD.
Already check with Acronis – They stated they did not have. Need to try and fit program on to 1.44 Floppy ( around 200K) if possible.
Please
NO recommendation to upgrade system, Cost prohibited as it involves rewriting software. Highly unlikely that copies of the software are available. Software was written for labview (old version) and relies on timing loops biased on Pentium 90 hardware. This software controls a resurrected satellite instrument.
