how do i know what version of windows im using

ok i have a quick question,

i'm used to using XP< got vista, so far i much prefer it, so i just download SP1, but i have a unusal Sound card (M-audio firewire 410) and the update failed first time, and IDK if i worked the second.

now before in XP i would just go to My computer-> Properties and it would tell me.

now it tell me about the short cut.

as far as im aware the there a run CMD to tell you what version of windows, including build. do you know how i can fin out what version im using and/or what the command is, thanks
