I am attempting my first comp build and i am wanting to use athlon 64 x2 5000 BE cpu. I was wanting to get any opinions on which mobo's would be the best to go with. I have read numerous threads and reviews on ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI to name a few. I am wanting to have option of using sli in future which I know limits my options on am2/2+ boards. Just wanting a good solid board to start with. any help would be greatly appreciated I am new to this forum and my first post.

If you want SLI, you should go with Asus or EVGA 780i, which are Intel.
They are solid boards.

The best AMD Crossfire boards are X38/X48 chipsets. Again these are Intel.

Another good AMD board at the moment is GA-MA78-S2H for Blu-Ray viewing.
