These are the PSU's :
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/PowerSupply/Products_Spec.aspx?ProductID=2795&ProductName=Superb%20550
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153058

Buying from a store, to use with these:

Q6600 GO, will OC to 3.0 on stock cooling,
Gigabyte P35-DS3L
8800GTS G92 512MB
2X1 GB Value Ram
320GB SATA HDD
SATA DVD RW

Maybe a few more HDD's but not more than 3 at a time.

Thanks.
PS- Those 2 are the only affordable options, others are out of the budget / crappy generic brands.

Your choices have average power on the 12v for 500w unit PSUs and will work, but not so sure sure about adding a 'few' more HDs. You could stress the unit out with the 18 x 2 or 15+16 amps on the 12v of those units. Remember the +12v supplies power to the CPU, Video card, Hds, etc., all the major hardware components of your system. Your are looking at dual rail 500w units. So if you are running multiple HDs and prone to just 'plugging in' a lot of stuff from time to tim, you may consider a unit with a little more 12v power available if needed.

Tiers 1 and 2 are top performing units. I believe the Thermaltake you have listed is a Tier 3, which is very highly rated unit for 500w capability. I would go with the TT and maybe take a look at the Thermaltake Tough Power starting at 600w. I use the TT Toughpower 700w on the rig in my sig.

As badge said, those PSUs will power that system, but not much else. I also believe the Thermaltake is most likely better, I have never even seen a Gigabyte PSU get any praise what so ever.

I wouldn't think so. 15+16 amps on 12v rails may be a bit too low.

I shall look into finding another PSU. Unfortunately getting them Online is not an option, Ill look into some other stores.

According to this review, gigabyte PSU's are pretty good, especially the ODIN series, and the Superb series are quite mid-low end. My store has the odin too, I might get that if I don't find any good ones for the price.

Thank you for all the posts.
