I cannot download skype vista

I have Vista and I have been trying to download Skype. It does not matter whether I use Mozilla or IE but I still get the same message - not a win 32 application. Please help!

Run Virus Scan. And Windows restore to date when you could download.

If you find infection, delete your restore points, so you don't use one in future to reintroduce the infection.

I can download but not SKYPE just get the same not a WIN32 Application message. I have googled this and its a common problem but still no luck

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

I've had problems installing Skype recently where it downloads and installs but comes up with a useless page instead of a sign in. Try an older version from http://www.oldversion.com/Skype.html and see if that helps.

Also, when you have the .exe downloaded, right click it then click RunAs Administrator - you may have better luck that way.
