I am not aware that nVidia has a 9600GT planned that will go in a AGP slot. To my knowledge it's a PCI 2.0 card which means you'd need a new MoBo before you could consider that card.
Im also fairly sure there isnt an AGP version, ATI make a 3850 in AGP though.
Either way one or the other of those cards will make a lot of differance, depending on the rest of your system of course.
If you have a big enough PSU to power it and a fast enough CPU the differance will be night and day. Mactronix

i am doing an whole system build. i am just curious in the differences between the 2 graphics cards
