I have tried multiple times to compress (zip) a folder. I have not seen the .zip extension on the folder. I believe this is causing the problem when I try to upload it to a public server.

How do you compress a folder and see the .zip extension? Is this a problem with Vista?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

In Windows Explorer (Start orb>Computerr) then from the File menu, click on New and you should see the option Create a Compressed (Zipped) folder. Choose that and drag files you want to zip into that folder. Alternatively, you could use WinZip - the evaluation trial seems to last forever) or 7Zip to do the job for you.
