Hi,
i installed Vista Home Premium x64 and have a Ati Radeon x1950pro and a Viewsonic Va1912wb Lcd monitor.
Under Windows Xp pro i was able to run my monitor with a resolution of 1440x900 with 75hz refresh rate.
Now i only get 60hz offered and i used the latest driver i could find on the viewsonic page.
Why is that? Is there any way to tweak it perhaps. I like to have the sharper view with 75hz rather than the 60hz.

AFAIK LCD monitor does not support 75hz YET...especially Viewsonic VA1912wb that you mentioned...But in anyhow you manage to had it 75hz under XP before....hmm, I wonder how...

Could you take a screen shot under XP in 75hz?

Surprise surprise. Vista and problem in the same sentence again. Although what you're saying may or may not be true, you did give me the opportunity to practice my favorite sport besides snowboarding.

Vista bashing that is.

Thanks! =p

actually i like vista.
but the thing is that the viwesonic driver allowed you to run till xp 85hz. now i can only run 60hz. i dont have a screen shot, but i can assure you that the everything was sharper in appearance.
perhabs i have to get a different model to have a higher refresh rate?
