The new "stock" 8800GTS (G92) is just under 12K points with this CPU in 3DMark06...over two time what my overclocked 7900GT gave me.
No need to OC it.

My x1900xt is clocked at 613 Core and 840 Memory, from 620 core and 720 memory..... Core seems to be damaged, so I had to clock it down. :/

3870x2= O/C'd to 850/1050 from 825/901. I had to manually set the fan higher to keep temps down (Asus 3870x2 has lousy auto fan control I think its on purpose to keep noise down). My temps were actually pretty good, mostly staying under 70 degree celsius. With the fan at 35-40% up my idle temps are in the 40-50 degree range. However, I didn't keep the OC because I wasn't seeing a difference in games, they all play pefectly fine at stock speeds, so why stress the chip, except for running benches of course.

8800 GTX OC 680/1550/1080 Just Kills an Ultra but I guess the ultra can overclock too. That is the highest I could complete 3dmark 06 I will say though day to day it sits at 625/1500/1020. it's the memory that gets the extra boost on ultras they get hand picked I can only hit the lowest mem for an ultra and I can assume ultras can ramp up more than mine :(. No complaints though can't find much I can't do ran Crysis at 1024x768 Very high the whole game. I know low res but it was nice to see how it is supposed to look LOL. Running it on an OC 6000+ to 3.2 so that is my real bottleneck :( waiting for things to settle down to get a quad or whatever BTW this is in an Antec900 case and temps on the card idle 50 max 70 to 75 not bad for this card seen people in the 90's.

8600GT - 725/1550/1550 from 540/1188/1400
8400GS - 650/975/900 from 450/918/800
8500GT - 675/1200/900 from 450/918/800

All stable! COD4 ran perfectly on all three cards at default settings 1360x768 resolution.
