I have been planning (in fact , already ordered) on buying the EP35-DS3.
I read in some forums that both models (EP35-DS3 and P35-DS3)
are actually the same , but I think they are not.
Look at the pictures:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/Image/motherboard_productimage_ga-p35-ds3_big.jpg
http://www.gigabyte.co.nz/FileList/Image/motherboard_productimage_ga-ep35-ds3_big.jpg
See the diffrences? the first one is the P35-DS3 and the second one is the EP35-DS3.
Clearly , they are not the same , and even the specification are diffrent.
I also read that the EP-DS3 models overclock better (http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?o...k=view&id=6165&Itemid=40&limit=1&limitstart=3 this is the EP35C-DS3R which is actually worse at memory overclocking and diffrent only by the ICH9R and the 2 DDR3 slots)
So what do you think?

The newer version of the GA-P35-DS3(rev 2.1)
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2748
Is the same as the GA-EP35-DS3

They have the new Dynamic Energy Saver (DES)

"GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver is a revolutionary technology that delivers unparalleled power savings with the simple click of a button. Featuring an advanced proprietary hardware and software design, GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver is able to provide exceptional power savings of up to 70% and up to 20% improved power efficiency without sacrificing computing performance"

Isn't the only difference just the addition of the energy saving feature, which you can just disable anyways. I guess like ilan2212 said, by buying the "green" version you are essentially guaranteeing what revision you will get.
