Hi folks,

I need help: I have a Sony Viao A397XP notebook with a DVD-RW DW-56a. Recently it could not write on a DVD +R from Sony, which should be compatible. On the Viao Update Site I read about the firmware. I must have made a mistake while installing the firmware since during the installation the DVD drive door opened, and it does not close anymore. My notebook does not recognize the drive at all. How can I restore it? BTW system recovery did not help.

Please, please help!
