Gigabyte EP35-DS3L Problem?

As most first posters, I'm new to the overclocking scene. Out of impulse I decided to build a computer this summer. I'm trying to get the most out of my E8400, but like many, I'm having problems with the overclocked settings sticking.

I have read that a remedy to this problem is to flash the bios with some new beta version, so I did that (correctly? I don't know). How can I see what version my Bios is?

If that didn't fix it, what do you guys suggest I do? Unplug the computer and take out the mobo battery, then ??

Sorry, but I really have no idea which direction to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bios revision is part of the boot up screen...

Otherwise , d/load and use cpu-z and check the mainbord tab.

Chear CMOS. Then boot in to Windows and run CPUZ.

Be careful to set your Vcore voltage at something other than Auto. I found this beta will automatically set 1.5v which is outside of Intel's spec for the E8400.
