I just noticed that Tigerdirect has E8500 (OEM) for sale for $299... this is the first time I have actually seen one in stock and for sale. They force you to buy a cpu fan with your order to retain warranty, the cheapest being $19.95 for some piece of junk - no thanks.

Thats a good thing, some people might think they don't need one. With a better fan you can OC.

Are they giving you the 3 year warranty if you buy a CPU cooler?

not that i would buy the e8500 or anything, but u know they could always get a, Thermal take blue orb II, HSF it usually goes for around $40...I know tiger usually has that HSf in stock as well as a ruby red version...

In my experience of OCing it is as so good as the highly heralded Zalman ones that are of slightly different design, but I like the thermal take one better!
