Windows media player

Hi
I have recently experiend troubles playing files through Windows Media Player from within my Napster account
I have the following message displayed that seems to say all is not well
Napster
Windows Media Player is not installed properly. Reinstall the Player.
(0xC00D11CC) OK
This has only just recently happened and I would like to know what problem it could be

Could be that a recent update caused a problem or conflct, so go ahead and reinstall WMPlayer.

ok, thanks for the advice

I guess that this would have to be downloaded from the web? I do not have a set up disc for that app.

Where do you suggest is the safest place to get it from.

If not download, how can I reinstall with no disc?

Click:

Start>settings>Control Panel> Add or Remove Programs

There are 4 Buttons on the Left side, one of them says "Add/Remove Windows components." click it.

Down near the bottom of the list is Windows Media Player. Uncheck it, click Next.

Media Player will be removed. Re-boot, and go back there again, check Windows Media player and it will be re-installed. You may need your XP CD.

After it is installed, it will probably want to get itself updated... your choice to do or not.
