I have about half a terabyte of data I need to move from one drive to another in the same system, any suggestions for software that will accuratly trasnfer the data bit by bit and possibly check it afterwards?
The standard windows copy will accurately transfer the data. The drives should check the data automatically as well. It'll take a while, but it will work fine.
The OS usually checks the data, but if you want to make sure, you can always use MD5/SHA1 checksums. Beware, if you have 1TB of data, it will take a while.
I would use Total Commander, and go with "Sinchronize Dirs". It will take a while, especially data comparison afterwards, but it is a program that I trust.
