Hello.
I have got a three years old note-book with GeForce Go 6600 (128Mb) video card that has VGA (D-Sub) connector. I want to buy a 24"(1920x1200) monitor but I'm not sure if it will work with my note-book. There is no resolution 1920x1200 among screen resolution options, the highest resolution is 1600x1050 or something like that.
I was wondering if anyone could help me to find out if it will work or not.
Thanks in advance.

The video card should support that resolution, the reason why your note won't let you set the resolution any higher is because the screen won't support it.

The other thing to watch out for is the 24" monitor will most likely have a DVI lead and your notebook with have a VGA input, so you will need a converter.

It might be that you'll have to install the drivers for the monitor on your notebook first; the option will be available after; but don't expect too much performance out of that card at this resolution:(

Also that card will perform like butt at that resolution so you won't be playing many games with it. It should work fine though for office apps, email, and whatever else.
