DISABLE SATA CONTROLLER IN GATEWAY

Hello,
I have a GATEWAY laptop mx6214. I want to install Windows XP, but I can't disable the SATA Controller because in its BIOS it doesn't appear anything about! HELP!!! i want to format!

[#0005ff]If you have a SATA hard disk, disabling the controller would be a bad idea and if you don't, the controller won't get in the way. What have you got against it? :whistle:  [/#000ff]

Have you tried gateway's website? Some times they will give controler drivers... also make sure that in the bios SATA emulation is set to IDE and nothing else.
