2. Can I install it on Dell PowerEdge 1600SC (only has 2x 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI; 2x 64-bit, 100-MHz PCI-X and 2x 32-bit, 33-MHz PCI) and if yes, will it work with the 1TB drives form point 1.

Thanks

I've used one of these as a JBOD adpater for one of my desktops in the past.

These kind of adapters are limited to 2TB array/disk size per controller.

From that i'd say you can fit 2 x 1TB drives as JBOD or RAID.

The spec sheet says it's backwards compatible to 32/64bit PCI too. So take your pick on the slots, the faster the slot the faster the data transfer rate will be.

Yep, I agree with max 2TB as it is only 48-bit LBA, and not 64bit-LBA. But if you get 4-1TB drives and run them in Raid 10, you should be good.
