Upgrade MB

I have a compaq SR1710NX with the A8AE-LE mb. it has sempron 3400+ 2.0 GHz processor.I am wanting to upgrade the processor and memory, just to boost it up a little.
I would like some suggestion on what will work.Or if anything out today is compadable or will even make a difference.thanks

what is the socket for the processor? if its 739. then your basically screwed

err i think you mean 939 and yes i agree. If your willing to upgrade your motherboard, your options open up quite a bit. But your case being micro ATX limits it to micro ATX motherboards.

Does anyone have any suggestions on MB. and processor. I want something that will work fine with all other components of the 1710.
