Steam stopped updating

Hello,I downloaded my steam...when it starts its update it stops on a number...sometimes on 38% and sometimes on 76% or 83%....I have Empire total war and I am really want to play...but steam stops when starts updating...what could I do???

You might try deleting CleanRegistry.blob in the /steam directory.

I've been having the same problem..
What is with steam? I've had this problem before!
