A year ago I had a Q6600 at 3.6Ghz and a 8800 GTX 512
I then added another 8800 GTX 512 in SLI, but I needed to replace the P35 chipset I was using with a 750i. So far with the new board I have only gotten the CPU to 3Ghz.
I had to back the O.C. down a little one the GPU's because I now have 2 of them but it was minor, -10Mhz on the core, -30 on the mem, and -50 on the shaders.
Here are my 3dmark comparisons:
Old
New
Only 500 more points??? I'm also noticing a not so great performance gain in Crysis. Any Ideas?
Edit: I realize the CPU is 600Mhz less but do you really think that would be the problem? I would have thought adding SLI would make it jump at least another 1,500 points.
