Well im thinking of getting new build for light gaming, and HTCP at 1280×720 resolution, i have a couple of 17 inch Dell LCDS im not ready to change, this is a transition build, while the new VGA and CPU come out later this year so im keeping it under 500$

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 4850e 45 watts, low power rating, fast enough for light gaming and HTCP

GPU: Ultimate HD 3850 low power, and passive cooling: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814102720

MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H, Cool MoBo :p : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128090

RAM: Kingston HyperX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066, Kingston has never failed on me : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820134218

as for the Power supply i have a 380 watts Antec Earthwatts is it enough? i have 2 x 250GB Maxtor 7200.10 HDD a DVD RW Drive and 2x 120 mm fans from my old build.

Wow its been a while and no replies, hehehe must be ok then... but things have changed i found a spare DG33BUC MoBo so i can spend a little more on the gpu and power supply so i was thinking a E6550 a Thermaltake 500w: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817153052 and instead of the Ultimate HD3850, the MSI 9600GT OC with dual pipe cooling or the EVGA 8800 GS, ive heard there both really quiet

so now the question should i build the Intel Setup with a board that has no OC ability, or go with the AMD thats more power efficient and the Gigabyte MoBo uses faster RAM, in the end the Intel setup is far more powerfull but AMD is Efficient with the 45w GPU

Nope havent tried but seem hybrid graphics performs similar to a 2600pro ddr2, besides the Hybrid technology the Gigabyte MoBo is a bit more futureproof and allows OC the DG33BUC Is more an office pc board, still i can use C2D or C2Q and their 45nm variants... i think hehehe right now my biggest dilema is power consumption ive look over and over for reviews on the before mentioned GPUs(HD3850, 8800GS, 9600GT) some reviews favor the HD3850 as the most Energy eficient, while other say its the 9600GT and that the 8800GS stands in the middle o performance and EE.

so the point is i want the most EE system.
