I've had the drive for 6 months now and its worked perfectly until a week ago. I had no problem burning on nero. I havent made any hardware or software changes recently. Now all of a sudden, nero and any other burning program no longer detects the drive. the weird part is my device manager still recognizes the drives, tuneup utilities still sees it and when i put in a cd/dvd in the drive it plays like normal. I just cant get any of my burning software to recognize it anymore.

hope you guys can help because i'm going out of my mind trying to figure out what happened

Try reconnecting the drive in a different port and try reinstalling Nero.
