1TB FreeAgent Pro not mounting on Mac

Hello All-

My 1TB FreeAgent Pro external drive is not mounting on my Mac. I am running OS X. It was working fine... I ejected it properly, tried plugging it back in, and now it won't mount at all. How can I fix this without losing my files? Is there a way to recover my files?

Drives die unfortuantly, enclosures do aswell.

First listen and make sure it is spinning and not clicking, if its not doing one or doing the other ur pretty much screwed.

If those are fine i would try a different machine, another mac or a windows based machine, see if that gives you different results.

Worse comes to worse your going to have to pull the drive and plug it in directly or put in a new enclosure.

Thank you. I actually ended up buying Disk Warrior, and its managed to get me access to the drive, so I've been able to get the brunt of the files off. No more Seagate drives for me, though.
