ATI Tool Overclocking HELP!!!

Hi all, im not having a good day this is so frustrating. I am trying to use the ati automatic overclocking tool with my 8800gt. the problem is that when i click find max core it runs fine untill it hits about 400 mhz and then i loose my video completely. i know the program isnt supposed to do this but i dont know what im doing wrong. Can anyone help me out? Please please I would be so grateful if i could get this to work.

Are you ok on the head?
*ATI* tool Overclocking is meant for ATI cards and not for your 8800gt.
If you want to overclock your graphic card you can use RivaTools.

I OVERCLOCKED MY 7600GS 50% WITH ATITOOL!

if you googled it you would find in 30 seconds that it works perfectly with nvidia cards... just not with the new drivers lol i kinda stuffed up my comp had to boot into safe mode to uninstall it due to incompatibility with 178 drivers..

well if it reaches 400 ok, set it at about 395, then run the artifact test and leave it for like an hour, if its still runing ok with no artifacts found use this setting, you could then increase it a bit and do this again. But the extra framerate/s prob wont be worth the instability gained

hmm i got an idea how about you google "ATItool+nvidia" THE PROGRAM WAS FREAKING DESIGNED TO WORK WITH BOTH MANUFACTURERS! google before you start making statements with no evidence behind them
