I have an MSI P6N motherboard. The original hard drive I installed started indicating SMART problems, so I purchased 4 drives - 2 160GB and 2 1 TB Seagate drives and attempted to configure as 2 RAID 1 drives. I went through the entire installation process and loaded MSI's RAID drivers. Both the 160 GB and 1 TB RAID configurations showed up as healthy and I installed Windows XP service pack 3. The entire installation process appeared to work and the computer rebooted at the end of the installation. I installed the OS on the 160 GB configuration. When the computer rebooted, it goes through the normal startup process and shows Windows XP starting, then it comes up in the safe start mode. When I try to boot up it reverts to this same mode. I've installed all of the drives in IDE mode and installed Windows XP with no problem. Any suggestions what's wrong with RAID configuration?
