Hi, I have an old computer (mobo pcchip 863G and processor AMD semprom 2200 ) that does not work when I turn on. It does not make any BIP sound too. But the HD is ok. The power is ok, too. So the cooler processor works when the computer is turned on. I ask if the problem is the processor or the mobo that failed?

the best way to find out is to test the CPU on a another computer

also, if it has an AGP card take it out and try and turn on the computer

when a graphic card is out, it can prevent the computer from booting
