Hi,

Curently got a ASUS NVIDIA 8800GT card on a ASUS M2NSLI Deluxe Mobo. I want to add a second 8800GT card, problem is the heatsink and fan on the ASUS 8800 is huge and blocks the 2nd PCIe graphics slot. Anyone know of a low profile 8800GT card that I can put in the upper slot?

Cheers

I am a bit confused by will try to help.  How can your 8800T fan block the second PCI-e 16x size slot?  They are three slots away from each other.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Show [...] otherboard

Low profile usually refers to a card that is lower in slot height (as it stands up off the motherboard) allowing it to fit in a thin case.  Like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Show [...] Video+Card

From what I can imagine you are saying, by low profile you need a single slot card that won't block the next PCI slot not pci-e slot.  Is this correct?  That would be a reference cooled 8800GT like this.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Show [...] Video+Card

I assume this is the video card you have

And this is your motherboard

The 2 PCI-E slots (blue and black) are 3 slots away from each other so even with the height of the cooler on the Asus card you should be fine but you won't have use of the PCI-E 1x or PCI slots.
