Hi Guys,
I have hardrive model - Western Digital-WD1200JB-00EVA0 120 GB
And it now only comes up with the grey bios screen with the various starting options on the screen and it doesn't restart no matter which option you choose and it just comes back to the same screen each time. I can make changes in the bios okay.
It also came up with a fault once with: windows/system 32/c_1253.nls

I’ve tried a hardrive repair option and it came up with this fault;

0x0000000A (0Xf94e7ac9, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8018BE45) The hardrive seems to be running fine and it doesn’t seem to be a mechanical hardrive fault.

I’ve disabled the caching and shadowing options.
I have a USB to USB data transfer cable which I’ve hooked up to another computer from where I can run software etc to copy files. But it won’t recognise the drive.

I’ve tried the hardrive in an external USB drive control unit with no luck and it still wouldn’t recognise the drive.

Is there a particular setting change I should make in the bios that will make the other computer recognise the faulty hardrive?

What bios settings should I try and in which area can I locate them to make the changes please?
