I know in general the workstation cards don't do well with games, but I read a review on newegg where a guy who bought it was saying he was getting better performance than an ultra at a lan party. This makes me wonder if crysis might lend itself well to that type of rendering. Though he could have just been a retard.

Don't trust the Newegg reviews. Most of them don't know what they are talking about. He might have gotten better FPS probably because he was running it at a lower resolution.
