get 2x2 gb memory even if you are going 32 bit
9800 series wont be out intil may/june/july except for the 9800 gx2 which is basically just two 8800gts 512mb g92 in sli through one pci-e.
if you get a evga 8800 gts 512mb g92 now you can use the step up plan to get the "real" 9800 cards within 3 months
i dont know about the power supply, but never buy the cheapest one you can find (link?)

I am on a really tight budget with this system.

I think the G. Skill memory and the XClio supply will do fine. The XClio is a tier-2 according to Tom, and the memory has around 1000 reviews on Newegg. All 5-egg.

Looks good to me. You might want to take a look in to the Crucial Ballastix. 2*1GB for $30 after MIR:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=50001455+40000147+1052416064&name=DDR2+800+(PC2+6400)

btw, you can take the newegg reviews with only a grain of salt.

Sounds good.

Don't buy the case and PSU until you see the 9800 card released and you know for sure the case is big enough and the PSU is powerful enough. Also, before you buy the 9800, see what ATI has to offer at that time too. They use 55 nm technology already, while nVidia is still at 65.

Add a SH-S203B burner.

Consider the GA-P35-DS3R instead of DS3L if you intend to use RAID or add lots of disks.

I think the case will be big enough no matter what...

It fits an 8800 G80 with room to spare.

As for the PSU, it is SLI-certified, so I am good for any single card that comes out. I was planning on just a 9800 GT or perhaps even a 9600 GT, both of which should suck less power than any 8800 series card.

This PSU is also on Tier-2, like I stated before. It has 3 - 12v rails, at 18A, 18A and 16A respectively.

I will be watching the video card market like a hawk. If ATI comes out with something better for ~$200, I will buy that.
