All of a sudden it seems, my remote no longer works when I push the keys for
my local channels. The channel up and down works but not the key
combinations. EG: press 08, the number 08 shows up for a second on TV but
then the channel remains where it was.

Locals run up to 99 so tried the HD channels 9424 etc., they work fine.
Will even return to the local using the return key(forgot name on remote).
Any channel above 100 it will work, but not below 100.

What could be causing this? Unplugged receiver and TV for almost an hour
but that didn't change anything.

BTW its a 811 receiver I believe.

Thanks,

Jim

I also have an 811, had same problem, tech service said to reset receiver
when this happens... just hold down the on / off button on the receiver for
7-10 sec. ... the 811 will flash some lights on & off then will begin to
reset ... re-aquiring signal and "find itself " again"
