I have a asus a8v deluxe motherboard which uses a Marvell Yukon ethernet controller. Recently, my internet stops connecting. When I disable the 1394 Connection, and renable it, my internet is connected again, but around 5 minutes later it disconnects...

If my network adapter is an Marvell Yukon, why is my internet connection dependent on 1394? 1394 is firewire is it not? This should have nothing to do with the internet connection....

Thanks for any help.

If you don't use the 1394 connection at all, try disabling it and see how things go. If it still disconnects it could be a driver issue. It sounds like your nic is failing and the computer is switching to the next network connection to try and get out. When you disable the 1394 it switches back to the normal nic.
