PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750W or Corsair TX750 are the best candidates for powering a system of those specs.

the 9800GTX only just came out what makes you think the 9900GTX is around the corner?... its a bit hard to give recommendations on a PSU when we dont know what kind of power the GPU's will consume... i hope you have a high res screen otherwise the SLI wont be worth it

chookman, that doesnt answer my question at all...
i STRONGLY doubt there will be HUGE difference between 9800gtx and 9900gtx, wattage wise.... and 9900gtx is due Q3 btw
its somewhat wrong to say SLI is only good for High res because I specified that im going to use that computer for online FPS, and as most people know, no one plays FPS at 1600-1250 ...

ncix.com
OCZ 700w is 135$  rebate 105$
PCP&C 750w is 165$ no rebate
Corsair TX750 is 170$ rebate 130$
hmm id prolly stick with the OCZ 700w but my question is; is this enough wattage for my needs?!

PC P&C 750w is the absolute BEST 700-800w power supply on the market, end of story.  Just get the PC P&C 750w.  750w is plenty.

The reason to get SLI is so the rig can handle higher res's better. I assume you saying no-one plays FPS at 1600x1200 that they must play at lower resolutions which most if not all FPS (besides maybe crysis at high detail) will run perfectly well on 1 GPU. Just about all reviews of any SLI i have ever seen lower resolutions in SLI have no increase in FPS and in some cases are actually lower with SLI

You cant have a go at me for trying to save you money. If you have say a 19" LCD that does 1280x1024 the only thing SLI will do is cost you money and possibly create instability/graphical anomalies due to immature drivers.

And for the record i play my games at 1920x1200 (native res of my 24" LCD) which is a higher res that you say everyone play at.
