I lose my wireless mouse when I plug in my mp3 playre to charge it

This has happened at least twice. I spent a few hours on the phone with someone from microsoft last time and I think she just got lucky. Somehow it got fixed but it has since happened again... Someone out there has to know how to stop this issue.
