I have a GA-EX38-DS4 motherboard and I can't get it to run 4 gigs of memory. I had BL2KIT12864AA1065 • DDR2 PC2-8500 memory in it running 5-5-5-15 at 2.2 volts and When I ran windows memory test they keep failing and I would get intermittent BSOD. So I called Crucial and they told me there Ballistix memory (BL2KIT12864AA1065 • DDR2 PC2-8500) wasn't compatible with the X38 chipset. So I have down graded a bit to the CT2KIT12864AA1067 • DDR2 PC2-8500 non- Ballistix non- high performance memory at no cost to try and get my PC stable. I ran the windows memory test with two gigs in and it passed fine at 7-7-7-24 at 1.8 volts but when I put 4 gigs in it PC won't post it keeps starting and shuting down the only thing on there web site about the memory is CL=7 so I don't know if these settings are right or if something else in the bios could be set wrong. If anyone can help I would be greatful.
